Self-Care This Witch Loves to Outsource

There are some things I love doing for myself, and there are other things I’m perfectly happy to pay someone else to do.

As a full-time witch, business owner, wife, and woman with plenty of interests outside of work, I don’t feel the need to do absolutely everything myself. My time is valuable, and I’d rather spend it on the things I enjoy than turn every little task into another item on my to-do list.

For me, outsourcing certain things is a form of self-care. It’s not about being incapable of doing them. It’s about knowing what I enjoy, what I’m good at, and where I’d rather have a little help.

Here are the things I love to outsource.

1. Housekeeping

I love having a clean, comfortable home. What I don’t love is spending my time cleaning it when I could be doing something else.

Having a housekeeper means I can enjoy my home without being responsible for every bit of the work that goes into keeping it clean. I get to spend more time on my business, my witchcraft, my family, and the things I actually want to do.

There’s something lovely about knowing that a regular task is taken care of without having to squeeze it into an already full week.

2. Hair

I leave my hair to the professionals. Having a good stylist who knows how to care for my hair and give me the look I want makes life easier.

I don’t need to spend my time figuring out how to achieve professional results at home. I can let someone who knows what they’re doing take care of it and enjoy the finished look.

It’s one of those little luxuries that makes getting ready feel easier, and I’m happy to outsource it.

3. Nails — Just My Hands

My hands are worth outsourcing. My feet? I can handle those myself.

I can keep my own toenails done faster and cheaper than booking regular pedicures. But my fingernails are another story. Having them professionally done gives me a better finish, and they last much longer than when I do them myself.

For me, that’s money well spent. I get to enjoy beautiful nails for longer without spending my own time trying to achieve the same result.

I don’t need to outsource everything just because I outsource some things. I choose what makes sense for me.

4. Lashes

I leave my lashes to a professional, too.

Having my lashes professionally done means one less thing to worry about when I’m getting ready in the morning. I love being able to feel put together without adding another step to my daily routine.

I specifically look for a professional who uses hypoallergenic, vegan lash glue. I want to feel comfortable with the products being used around my eyes, not just love the finished look. Of course, hypoallergenic doesn’t mean allergy-proof, so it’s still important to discuss sensitivities with the lash technician.

It’s a small part of my beauty routine, but one I enjoy leaving in capable hands.

5. A Nutritionist Who Creates Seasonal Family Recipes

I love the idea of having a nutritionist create healthy, hearty recipes for every season that suit everyone in my household.

I want genuinely good food that fits our tastes, our schedules, and the time of year. Not complicated meals that require a dozen specialty ingredients, but satisfying recipes we actually enjoy eating.

Think warming meals during the colder months, fresh and delicious dishes in summer, and recipes that make the most of seasonal ingredients.

Having someone take our nutritional needs and preferences into account while creating a collection of seasonal recipes makes everyday meal planning so much easier.

And as a witch, I love the idea of eating with the seasons. What we cook and enjoy naturally changes throughout the year, and I like bringing that awareness into everyday life.

The practical side matters just as much as the seasonal inspiration. I want healthy, hearty meals that are realistic to prepare and that everyone at home looks forward to eating.

Having that work done for me means less time figuring out what to cook and more time enjoying the food.

6. Personal Assistants — One for Me and One for My Husband

I have a lot going on, and so does my husband. We each have our own responsibilities, projects, appointments, and things to keep track of.

That’s why I love the idea of having a personal assistant for myself and a separate personal assistant for my husband.

My assistant helps me manage my schedule, organize tasks, keep projects moving, and handle the administrative details that come with running a business. My husband’s assistant focuses on his own schedule, commitments, and responsibilities.

Having dedicated support means we each have someone who understands our individual priorities and can help keep things organized.

It’s not about handing over our lives or avoiding responsibility. It’s about making better use of our time and energy.

I’d rather spend my working hours doing the work I enjoy and my personal time with the people I love than spend every day managing an endless list of administrative tasks.

Having that kind of support gives us more room to focus on what matters to each of us.

Self-Care Doesn’t Mean Doing Everything Yourself

I think self-care becomes a lot more enjoyable when we stop treating it like another list of things we’re supposed to do perfectly.

I love looking after myself. I love feeling good in my home, taking care of my appearance, eating well, and making time for my witchcraft and the people I love.

I just don’t believe I need to personally do every single thing involved in making those parts of my life happen.

Sometimes self-care is a quiet morning, time with my grimoire, or an evening spent with my family. Sometimes it’s a professional manicure, a housekeeper, or someone helping me keep my schedule organized.

I’m happy to do plenty of things myself. But the things I prefer to outsource? I’m perfectly happy to pay someone else to handle them.

My time is valuable, and I want to spend it on the things I love.

For me, that’s what self-care is all about: creating a life I genuinely enjoy living.
